Challenge yourself to hike 77km and raise funds to support our chaplains.

The Bibbulmun Track is a long distance walking track stretching 1,002 kilometres from Kalamunda to Albany through some of the most beautiful areas of south-west Western Australia.

Bible Society’s Bibbulmun Track Hike is celebrating 22 years of walking for a great cause. Hikers keen to do their part have covered different sections of the track over the years, raising $143,000 for Bible work while enjoying the great outdoors.

This year, hikers will be raising funds to help Bible Society Australia provide free Bibles to chaplains serving in frontline ministries such as hospitals, emergency services and prisons. Your non-tax deductible donation will help put Bibles into the hands of chaplains right across Australia.

Hannah Johnson of Sports Chaplaincy Australia is a frontline chaplain who is grateful to have the word of God available to remind athletes that their value as an athlete has nothing to do with their purpose. “The reason I do it is I see the need for our athletes to be seen as people, not just performers,” she says.

“So if I come alongside them and journey with them – and hopefully do my best to reflect Christ’s love to them – they will come to know that they are more than a performer and that they can go after their dreams but with an understanding of who they actually are in Christ.”

Will you help put Bibles into the hands of chaplains in frontline ministries right across our land?
