Challenge yourself to ride and raise funds to support
Bible Society's Indigenous Audio Scriptures project
Let's transform lives through God's Word!
Date? 20th August 2023
Time? 12:30pm Picnic (Sausage Sizzle & gold coin donation). 1:45pm Ride starts
Where? 'Spring View' Farm - 249 Lubkes Rd, Henty NSW
Why are we riding?
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are oral cultures; important information is conveyed through story telling rather than the written word. This means that Indigenous communities readily engage with audio content in a way non-Indigenous cultures do not often appreciate or understand.
There are over 35 Indigenous languages in Australia with some translated Scripture available, of which only 16 have been made into audio recordings.
Will you help us make the Bible accessible to as many people as possible?
