Had a fall, so postponed Race to December 20th
I had a fall in my half Triathlon in Newcastle last week... dropped my water bottle and the bike rode over it at 20km/hr - I went straight in to the gutter and cracked my head on the concrete- helmets are a wonderful investment. The marshalls stopped me from getting back on the bike and looked after me driving me home. Slight concussion and stiff neck. So I have delayed my full Triathlon event until December 20th- where I will enter the Callala Beach event. I hope you will still consider supporting this wonderful cause we partner with. For my family
I lost my Dad to cancer and my Uncle Steve to Parkinson's disease during the last 18 months... I wanted to devote this Triathlon to them, as I try to support many others around the world who are going through compounded trauma from the Pandemic, poverty, and abuse. The attached picture shows my Uncle Steve seated receiving a copy of the Kunwinjku Indigenous Bible translation from his friend Steve Etherington- one of the key Bible translators.I'm raising funds to help others here and overseas Open The Bible through all means possible.
Refugees, people caught up in natural disaster, the marginalised and sick, those living in war zones…
These people need God’s love shown through practical kindness, God’s word to nurture their soul, and God’s peace that surpasses understanding.
You can help to Open The Bible for people experiencing trauma and suffering.
Will you help support those living with the haze of trauma?
Will you help me reach my fundraising goal and make a difference?
