Thank You!! All done....
I deeply appreciate those who have supported and encouraged during the training and running of the Newcastle Marathon. I can safely say, one of the most painful things I have experienced. Two fast laps until my knees started giving a lot of pain. Became the Newcastle 'shuffle'. But I completed. Thanks to my lovely wife who supported me for over 4 hours... and friends who turned up.4 days to go
I get a lot of time to think about things when I run for a few hours a week... running for my Dad... who always said I needed to lose some weight... and the defence force chaplains; hospital and school chaplains; and our Indigenous Bible work around Australia... I love running on my home farm.. higher altitude.. so may be helpful back on the coast on Sunday. Feeling good. Featured photo is one of our chaplains showing our water proof New Testament we provide.. please consider supporting our work.Almost there...
I am running a half marathon distance every weekend now- in the build up to the full 42km on April 11th. The CEO of Bible Society said that he had a friend running the 100km Ultra Marathon in the Blue Mountains!!! I am getting inspired. In fact, when I am running and I think... 100km... I can do this, it motivates me to keep running, and I feel much more resilient. Amazing how goals work... maybe next year! :)I'm raising funds to help all Australians Open The Bible through all means possible. We hope to raise funds to supply Scriptures to those that are eager to hear God's Word.
Will you help me reach my fundraising goal and make a difference?
