Join us on the 'Canberra Challenge' ride so we can transform lives through literacy! Challenge yourself to ride up to 600km and raise funds to support the Bible-based Literacy project in Mozambique.
When? 7th - 11th October 2025
Where? All 5 days of riding will start and finish at Vision Church, 1 Lithgow St, Fyshwick ACT
How much? $350 on-road costs for riders and roadies.
If you would like to only do part of the ride then the on-road costs are $70 per day.
Why are we riding?
Bible Society Australia is partnering with Mission Educate* to implement a Bible based literacy project designed to provide basic literacy, numeracy and life skills. It targets those living in impoverished city areas and rural communities who have little access to education and works with churches who have very few literate people among their communities.
Mozambique, one of the world’s poorest nations, grapples with over 50% of its population living below the poverty line. The religious landscape is diverse, predominantly Christian, yet literacy challenges hinder easy understanding of the Bible.
Conducted in community settings, the classes focus on reading, numeracy, and essential life skills like nutrition, cooking and horticulture. In 2025, through four full-time staff and 19 facilitators, this project maintains 20 groups in three provinces, benefiting 650 participants.

Does it matter if I have not ridden before; can I still come?
Yes! Everyone is welcome, however training is recomended before the ride.
